Why Capacity Building?

Organizational Systems are complex entities often with clear visions, but the operations of which involve multiple programs comprising many projects.

The process of linking the vision to strategic goals, and implement system-wide change is a challenge for many well-meaning individuals, groups and organizations.

Participatory Action is a "collective, self-reflective enquiry undertaken by participants in social situations in order improve the rationality and justice of their own social...practices" (Kemmis and McTaggart 1988: 5).

Participatory Action (Research and/or Learning) involves participants at all stages of the research or learning process. Participants are typically drawn from the same community of experience, interest, identity or geographic location. Participants are equipped with the skills for playing a pivotal role in designing and delivering the research and/or learning.
