A: We are a consulting firm founded in 2008 by Dr. Jane H. Kanchense. We offer planning and evaluation tools and techniques to help human service organizations.

A: We provide onsite consulting, training and
technical support, as well as online tools for individuals, groups and
organizations in the human services sector decision-making and
communications.

Q: Why did we choose that name to identify ourselves?
    What does our name mean?

A: Our name implies the integrity rooted in our guiding principles. We value the power of capacity building by guiding individuals and organizations in designing efficient programs. We believe that knowledge about program improvement and best practices is best acquired through experience, and captured through evaluation.

Our online tools and evaluation practice information is intended to provide self-learning opportunities for build capacity among individuals with some knowledge of research and evaluation concepts

Q: What makes us different from other Program Design firms?

A: We are an integrity-driven service with a focus on capacity building on planning and evaluation techniques.

Q: What are our prices?

A: For consulting and training engagements, our pricing is competitive with other Western Canadian consulting firms. We set prices for each project on a per-day or per-participant basis.

Our billing rate are in line with the Canadian Evaluation Society’s conference facilitation rates.

The cost(s) of training modules is dependent on the number of copies to be distributed.

Q: Do we offer discounts for our services?

A: In addition to the free initial complimentary and confidential conversation, Efficient Program Design Consulting Inc offers 10% discount rates to organizations whose program(s) are intended to improve the health and quality of lives of especially women and children from disenfranchised communities.

Q: Do we evaluate our own work?

A: Yes. We collect feedback about all of our services--training, consulting, and online--and use that feedback to continuously improve our work.

Q: Who are our clients?

A: Our clients come from throughout the human services sector. We work with individuals, groups and organizations in Western Canada, as well as, the international community via tele-commute.

Q: What specific issue-area expertise do we have?

A: We are champions in designing and facilitating collaborative interdisciplinary research and practice in the Social Sciences.

The book provides a simplified description and illustration of how to develop and implement interdisciplinary collaborations to investigate and address complex human development problems. Our evaluation approaches and methodologies are flexible and can be applied to many types of organizations in a variety of programming areas.

Q: How will we know when & where the training and workshops will be offered?

A: Our training and workshops are seldom offered to the general public. Therefore, we do not publish the training schedules. A majority of our workshops are offered to individuals and groups with specific learning needs.
